I heard Cocoa got MUCH better waves … much more of a bowl to them !

orlando is anywhere from 45 minutes to about an hour and a half west of cocoa beach. its true that we get some quality waves but it is very incosistent
Is it orlando or orcala or something that has a really good skatepark ?
…I vaguely remember seeing it in a fairly recent skate magazine [transworld or skateboarder maybe?] . It was an outdoor one, and it had one or two bowls, from memory … [not the cereal type this time !!]

There are so many skateparks around the Orlando area it’s hard to tel which one you’re talking about. But here’s an aerial shot of the new Cocoa Beach skatepark that is still under construction. Should be finished soon…
well first off its ocala. and they have a pretty decent skate park over there but the wave pool is going to be in orlando kind of close to disney world. we are fortunate enough to have about three or four real good skate parks.
i think the park you are talking about is the vans skate park. which will be right next door to the wave pool.
wow …I want to visit florida now !
… by the looks of it , if any ‘west coast’ guys ever bag you about your surf , your comeback can be to ask them about their skateparks !

we didnt have much in the way of a good skatepark for about 5 years. but in the past two years we have had a ton of new awesome parks being built. we have about 4 awesome and huge concrete parks within half an hour of each other.
tim pain is the man. we know have two parks that have real backyard pools in them.
but who needs a wave pool when you have waves like theese.
herb spitzer …if you’re watching …backyard pools in florida skateparks ! interested ? Maybe Gatordave could film you for his upcoming movie .
