reichold lam resin

Hey, I was wondering if anyone on here uses Reichold lam resin, and if they have a feeling on its long term quality. I’ve been getting it from a supplier on the east coast of florida who repackages it under the label “Seacor.” I’ve made my last four boards with it, but it has a definite yellow/amber color, which I imagine will just get yellower over time. Can anyone give me a reason to keep using it? I’m inclined to stick to Silmar, that is until I start using RR.

This is a formulation that Ross Houston is using for surfboards. I used it for many years when Silamr was in short supply, but the boards yellowed quickly and showed more stress lines than with Silmar. A number of Florida builders mix it with Silmar to get a clearer, stronger board at a less expensive cost than all Silmar.

That’s interesting. I appreciate your response, Jim.
