Repair FCS H2 fins

Unfortunately two of my h2 fins got damaged a couple of days ago. Someone dropped the board, fins first on the parking lot. So there’s a small chip gone on the outer edge of the fin… Could I just repair it with epoxy and some chopped glass? I don’t know what the fins are made of, that’s why I’m asking here first… They appear to have some osrt of cloth on the inside (yes I can see the inside of the fin now) and some sort of grey coating on the outside of it… Anyone know what to do?

You want to use epoxy resin…The material the fins are made out of is carbon fiber. I would just use the epoxy resin to fix it. No cloth needed

not even microballoons to fill it up a litlle bit? just the resin?

5 minute epoxy from the hardware

The H-2 fins are made using epoxy resin, foam cores and Texalium (a trade name for aluminium coated fibreglass).

Epoxy of some kind or another should be used to fix them preferably. I think five minute epoxy is a bit nasty but may do the job.

No carbon in the fin - its not black ??!!!

thats me bro

rough and ready

i recomend all my friends to fix small dings with 5 min epoxy

cuz that way, it will get done

and its better than water right
