Repairing question for a minor buckle

I recently noticed my CI Dumpster Diver flexing directly under my front foot as soon as I put pressure in that area while surfing. There is no visible damage to the board besides an inch-long crack in the bottom glassing over the stringer. This is probably the most minor and least visible buckle I have ever encountered but I really want to prevent further damage to such a critical area. I have fixed many buckled and broken boards so I have a usual procedure for this type of repair. However, I was hoping some of the experts would be nice enough to reveal their most effective yet lightweight approach to salvage this board.

Thanks for any advice,

Dan

(my approach would be to cover the deck with a large, diamond-shaped piece of 3oz cloth (roughly 2'x2') and have it lap over the rails to about 6 inches from the rails on the bottom)
