I have been planning to add tint to the Hot Coat, but I see in previous forum topics re "Show Us Your Tint" that a number of shots show the tint being applied with the Laminating Coat.
Will it matter or is the success the result of it blending through the cloth.
wont work, tint needs to be done in the lam, unless you are doing comp bands, then it should be over a sanded hotcoat and done with gloss resin (and opaque pigment not a tint/trans). after you lay down the band then you would have to sand and gloss over that. if you do it with HC resin over the lam it will be uneven and then look like hell when you sand it, youll never get it evenly over the rail either.
