Can gel coat tinting agent for boat applications be used to tint fiberglass resin? it’s polyester based.

Most if not all gelcoats use polyester based pigments in their makeup.Tints are a different thing all together.Using tints give a see through appearance while pigments are all opaque ., meaning you generally can’t see through them with any satisfaction.Pigments are used to hide / protect the laminate underneath as well as there cosmetic value.
