does anyone know where i can buy large amounts of resin for glassing > boards in the northeastern area with a small business liscense??? Yes, you can get it at the surf souce. Check out thier contact information at the following link: http://www.suncure.com/ Are you going into the business of glassing boards? If so, there are several locals here on this newsgroup who I am sure would like to know more. Do tell “jaxrider”. Shine http://users.leading.net/~shine

I have bought from them without a business liscense. They typcially mark it up 10% from wholesale. If that won’t work I have had good luck with people at Fiberglass of Florida, 321-639-3046. They have been cheaper on everything compared to surfsource. Also, we are waiting for the answer…are you opening a professional glass shop in the Jax area?

If anyone is looking for a glass shop in the Jax or St Aug area contact Black Pearl Creations in St Augustine. They can meet all your glassing needs.

no im not opening a glassing shop in jax. i am on the other hand going to start shaping and glassing my own boards. keep your heads up and look for a new local shaper in jax in the far future. i do plan also on selling some of my begginer boards at a very dirt cheap price. anyways. later.

If you are willing to buy a drum (55 gallons) most of the major disturbutors will sell it to you. Otherwise, good luck.>>> does anyone know where i can buy large amounts of resin for glassing > boards in the northeastern area with a small business liscense??? http://www.viser.net/~anthwind/

ok sorry about the mistypes…i meant in northeastern, FL and without a > small business license. later. If you call surf source again, speak to one of the brothers that own the place and just explain what you are doing. If they know you are a back yard shaper , they will sell it. I shape in Atlantic beach and have bought from them on several occasions. If I buy several gallons I go to Fiberglass of Florida. Even after freight I save $40-$60 on the bill. The key is to have an commercial address you can ship it to. They don’t care if you don’t have a business liscense, just that if you have a commercial address they can ship it to you via a commericial carrier that specializes in small package. If you send it to your house they can only use UPS and they hit you with a across the board “Hazmat Fee”, that is somewhere around $50-$70. Commerical Carriers don’t charge any more for hazmat freight. Same thing applies to when you order your blanks from the guy at Clark in Central Florida, makes a hell of a difference in price. Good Luck.
