I’m with Yorky on this one, and my experiences with this design feature really take the brakes off, if done right. This is not named a reverse rocker as such, but in aeronautical terms a ‘reflex’ curve. Works on fins too…

As in instead of having a smiley banana its a sad banana. Seen it done more commonly on tails. First saw it on an Aipa boards. Lates 60s/70s for big wave pintails. Seems like a brake/nail cutting/slowing into the water. Interested hats it does if shaped into the rear rails like its fluted though
