Simon “Addy” Jones who shapes Morning of the Earth and Earthly Joy boards is in cahoots with Richard Matthews. I’ll try and find his contact dtails and PM you. He will definitely know how to track him down. Last I saw of him he was in Burgos (north Siargao Island) laying up beautiful bamboo boards and surfing them on the local reefs. Interesting guy.
BTW - nice write up in the new “Surfers Path”
Haven’t seen that yet. He’s definitely got a trip going on there. I took some photos of him in his shaping “shed” with the local groms helping him cut bamboo strips and lay them up. (he was like some benevolent Colonel Kurtz). I’ll see if I can find them and scan em in and post them.

Speaking of the Phillos, checkout the JTWC and look at Typhoon Man-Li. That is a fucken beast of A STORM. mAX WAVE HEIGHT 38 FEET. Looks like Okinawa and the rest of Japan could really cop this one.
