Little bit shaky but ...fun!!!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPvPe9rxZvA
OK! glad to have some feedback,so this is only my 3rd board that I made ,the board looks very good and works great in ocean but very unstable on river because the water goes very fast, the ride that you saw is on slowmo.I used my M.Simms,to have a ride with the go pro ,the rest of the day I used a more stable board and did longer rides. It s a good feeling though, to surf 1 hour from where I live because It s always a trip (4 h) to go to the ocean.Next time I ll try my m.s. with a single fin only to keep it more stable...
We need a report on how the board worked on the river.
Looks like a lot of fun. I have seen some river surfing on the Snake River outside of Jackson Hole Wyoming.
nice, post a pic of just the simmons i would like to see it.

Looks good I like it. Nice tail block. 1 inch stringer ? Redwood or cedar ? Or maube something else
In fact, the foam is an old Clark with no stringer....I glued this piece of decorative wood with an iron over my veneer layer and sand it flush and glass it with 4 oz over.the tail are laminated pine and cedar ..the plank that you put in bbq!!!
nice i surf my Mini Simmons here in Colorado, but the waves are pretty soft. the board works great. it is 5'6"x 24"x3" 16"@ the tail. I prefer a board with more curve in the outline so I only ride the simmons once in a while. Defintaly good dims for a softer river wave.
Thats a pretty nice looking wave you have there.... what size boards are you riding in it? If you are riding long boards and would like to switch to short boards I have some designs you could try out
Yes according to what I saw at the spot I ride very long boards I d ont go there very often, not enough to make me a shorter board ...but after the ride I m glad to have a board that float me right to paddle back to the side
ahhhh… they all look good, nice work!
came across a video of me surfing my 5'6" mini simmons on the river here in colorado

I can’t wait to surf there… I am so close finishing my board now. Fin install, bit of sanding and then ready to go!
I went windsurfing on the river today and gosh it was cold (9C, 48F). Hope October has a couple of warm days left so I can give it a try.
