Interested in getting feedback on different rocker apex positions and performance. Figured I’d reach out to the internet world to see what I can find or contribute… I have been experimenting with forward from center apexes combined with say an eighth inch of single concave in the same part of the board. This combined with moderate tail rocker has produced good results. Most of the boards sampled have been 5’10ish with the outline apex also forward of center. I have found the same forward apex combined with vee and a lower tail rocker works well too, due to a similar planing area. Any hydrodynamic theories on water resistance related to expanding “sweet spots” particular to stinger rocker or rail rocker apexes? The “sweet spots” with forward apexes seems to be more narrow or neutral, but extra sweet when in the right spot, will report back with future findings… Please reply with any concrete findings or theories
