I have searched the archives as much as i can, but still need a little help.
I am going to shape a 6’2’’ fish, and the closest blank i can get is a 6’5’’ kneeboard blank. (In Aus.)The nose rocker is 5 5/8’’ and the tail rocker 2 1/8’'.
Would the best option be to leave the tail rocker and take 3’’ off the nose ? Or 2’’ off the nose and 1’’ off the tail ?
You need to do a little more blank research - a catalog with drawings is critical. A larger longer blank cut to length may give you all the dimmensions you need…you could easily make a 6’2 out of a 7’2+ blank and get the right amount of rocker.
If your supplier is limited then try another supplier if available.
Otherwise custom rocker or stock rocker is the call.
