Are you planning on making a hollow board from planks or a chambered board from solid stock?
What kind of tools do you have? If you are making a hollow board then you will need to resaw your 2x6’s so they will bend. If you want to keep it simple, then go to you local mill and have them resaw the wood for your. A good mill will have a big horizontal band saw with a feeder track. It is amazing how fast they can cut the wood into thin strips. You will probably need to run it through a thickness planner or a sander afterwards to smooth it out.
Search for posts written by Paul Jensen for help with building a hollow board. I remember seeing one post by a guy that built a board using Pauls technique while staying in a Hotel room. I can’t seem to find it right now though.
can i draw the rocker on each plank and cut it wiht a saw of some sort, maybe a jigsaw? and then line them up all afterwords and glue them up and planer them nic eand even?
