rocker #'s for glider

OK, going for the 11’ glider for small summer days.   i have searched and can’t find suggestions for nose and tail rocker.  i know it needs to be flat upfront and some lift in the tail or it won’t turn.   no noseriding planned for this board , just long paddles and trimming down the line.    Please help on this one…thankx

I don’t have specific numbers, maybe someone will chime in that does.

If it was me, I would just use the generic end rocker numbers from an old school 9 footer with 50/50 rails, and tweak the entry and exit rocker a little on a close tolerance blank. About the same only stretched out some more. The neutral rocker of a close tolerance blank should be real close to what you’re looking for.

What type of blank are you wanting to use?

Try about 4"-4 1/2" nose and 3 3/4" - 4" tail.  That would be for a single fin.  You could probably go with even more in the tail if you have sidebite fins.

you may want to ask Guilhem Rainfray (aka balsa).  He has shaped some very fine gliders in the 11-12’ range. Here’s how mine glides in slow mushy waves : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sZdWucVZZI
