Rose Petals under the Glass

Hey guys,

I had this crazy idea that I would dry out rose petals and glass them under my new longboard. What do you guys think? Have any of you ever done this before?

If they are dry, I can’t imagine too much of a problem. Similar characteristics to wood…I’d just make sure to “press them” like plant collectors do so they are nice and flat when you put them under the glass. Read up on plant pressing…pretty sure some newspaper and a couple heavy books will work fine.

Might encase them in casting resin first, then rout some foam away and glass in the casting resin block.
3D makes a rose petal look the way they do.

Seen a few dak leaves done. Just press dry them in a big fat book.

You totally can do that. Just make sure their dry, put some resin on the board and then lay the flowers on. Works and looks good. Enjoy.

I had the same idea with leaves… I would want them green, though.

Wonder if resin would keep em that way…

try it on a scrap piece of foam. see how it goes

best deal is get a real good

print of a rose on rice paper

glass it on and then make a

batch of wax and scent it rose.

roses smell good.The stems

now when you try it and the

roses lift the glass

and make condensation

Always wanted to do marijuana leaves a friend had it done in the 80’s

yeah , that wasn’t uncommon back then…I wouldn’t take a board like that into Asia these days , they’d nail ya for drug smuggling.
