anyone knows where to find on internet a router bits for a shaping machine . thanks patrick
Try Lenny at WWW. shaperstools, I use his grinder bits for my machines, They work fine but the only negative compared to a cutter bit is that the dust is a lot finer and gets into everything you own, they are good for the stringers though as they dont chip as easily as the cutters can, if you have two routers set them up so that you can take the stringer down with the grinder bit and then cut the rest( aswell as the stringer) with the cutter set a 1/16 of an inch deeper and you will have better luck collecting the dust and both bits will last longer. KR, where might i find a long router bit like the one you have for your outline cutter??? i saw shapers aus. had a pencil bit?? is it for the same purpose? thanks
Hey teddy I had my ones made by a local tool sharpening company and they work just fine, I have tried the ones that Lenny is selling and I found not as balanced as the cutter style bits and that is what you want because they have a fair bit of pressure against them and it is scary stuff if they break or bend in the chuck as you turn them on Good luck KR
whats size bit do you have? basic dimensions…thanks again
Hey Teddy its a 6mm or 1/4" shaft with a 3 1/4" cuttung edge KR
