rubout/polish compounds..

Hi there, Just finished the glossing of my skimboard and wait for a couple hours until the resin cured. I m ready to wet sand the board with 600 grit sandpaper and would like to seek yours advice on which rubout/polish compounds. I dont have any experience in using these stuffs. Any hints about these? Shurlustre is the rubbing compound you should use.

for 320grit use orbital sander or sander with power pad? and wet or dry? I sand dry with a thalco( 808D) soft pad on my grinder. Orbitals work well also but take longer.
