Cheers! I´m about to make a foam stain on my next board.
Simple Question: Do I sand the foam stain before laminating or do I have to laminate over while the resin is still wet?
Thanks in advance!

no and no.
Just did a foam stain. Don’t sand it just lam it within a couple days after the stain. If it’s been a while you might want to scuff it up but you don’t want to sand any color away

thanks everone! That was the only thing I coulnt find anywhere.
Let’s see it when your done
Pic pls.
Just tested if the pigments react somehow unexpected with the epoxy. With and without glas. And the board its going to be on. 5´6" x 22" x 2 3/4" single fin.
… I know. Its an experiment.
If it’s a cured epoxy foam stain you should scuff it before lam.
Nice job that looks sick
This summer I did my 3rd board using stain foam, because it’s easier than glassing with tinted resin.
I let it dry for a day and then glass it using UV resin (small place to galss).
It didn’t end very good because I used bad masking tape. I was in a hurry and the tape didn’t stick that good.
For the next board I’ll have plenty of time and I’ll use a masking tape (resists to 60ºC) that one shop gave it me for free as sample.
Use good masking tape LOL
