sand coat and additive f

I have just found that Resin Research kwik kick epoxy is fab for my sand coat (use other resin usually with better strength but  a bugger to sand). However when I add additive f at about 1% i get a nasty large patterned orange opeel surface. use without and it’s better. What should I do to get a no fish eye sand coat. I always get a few large dime sized areas that repel resin. Is this contamination? oil from hands or what?

Thanks

Yes, it’s some kind of oil or other contamination. You have to make sure the surface is clean. Do a search… this has been discussed many times.

Other resin with “better” strength…please tell me the name of this “magic” resin …I would like to know as I am skeptical to say the least…thanks!

ampreg 20 by SP systems  - it may give better results due to it’s viscosity being much higher than RR - i am awaiting the RR data sheet from Seabase UK to compare with Ampregs figures… It has just been replaced with Ampreg 21 which I am yet to try
