Hi everyone, my first post here and my first SUP build. Relatively new to epoxy and have applied a few coats now (each coat trying to fix the prior one
). Anyway, lessons learned and now moving on to varnish. What I cannot figure out is how flat/smooth do I need to sand all those ridges/runs to before I apply the varnish? I see many posts say to start out with 150 grit but for those ridges, seems like 120 (or even lower?)? Thanks all!
Sand/key with 80 then brush a thick coat of resin, let fully cure and then you can sand flat with 120 then 180 and varnish. Varnish is very thin don’t use it for leveling.
