Thomas Campbell’s recent surf movie “Sprout” on Thursday, February 3, 7:30pm at The Rio Theater 1207 Soquel Ave.(at Seabright) Santa Cruz.

Much of Sprout was filmed in the hard hit areas of Sumatra and Sri Lanka. Also featured will be recent footage of tsunami damage to the islands near Sumatra. Hey Steiny, I want some shwag (i think), or a new board. I still have my 7’6" J. Thomas swallow tail from 1978. I traded it new from the shop for a jeep load of organic oranges from Ojai. Could you cover some raffle tickets for me if I send some frog skins? Peter Costello (swawlocks artist in residence)art sounds nice to go along w/ the shwag. Maybe I could donate my board for the cause…I have to work on the details…let’s talk

Peter Costello only wishes he could create art as beautiful as “swayscape”. Who is the person who should be given credit for that? Make them the artist-in-residence!

Hey Steiny – I have a 9’6" triple stringer California gun made by Dick Brewer & Rich (Toby) Pavel. It’s pretty nice, has a tapered T-band, marine ply fins, glassed at Moonlight etc. I’d like to donate it to the auction, but I’m in San Diego & can’t get it there in time… Maybe some Swaylocker is headed that way this week??

here’s a couple of photos (sorry about the focus on the first one):

You guys are so cool! Keith thanks! I can’t think of a way to get that up here by thursday but if you think of a way let me know! We could sell it on ebay and donate the $. Epac, check you private messages. Please come and join us if you can! Bring your checkbook, bring your friends, bring your friend’s checkbook. We have already broke even just on cash donations from the community. This is gonna be great! Thanks again- your support gives me hope. Your friend- Steiny

P.C. - Sorry to have mixed up my art jpg.

you’re the man!

If anyone might be driving up to Santa Cruz from SoCal area, and would be willing to take a surfboard for the auction, please PM me.

I know it’s a long shot but then again there an awful lot of Swaylock’s folk down here… and who wouldn’t want to go to a shindig like this?
