Scaling

So I’m planing out my 2nd board and want to kind of scale down a board I own from 5’8" to 5’6" and add a subtle wing. I made a quick template today and it looks alright but not quite there. What I did was take measurments off of the original board every 3 inches and then transfer them to the template but about a 1/4 incher narrower. I remember reading a post awhile back about a formula for scaling that used a Lis Fish as an example but can’t seem to find it now. If somebody knows what I’m talking about or has any info on scaling a board it would be a great help.

For scaling up or down a few inches, plan on reducing the width by 1/8 inch for every inch in length you reduce.  And visa versa.

all the best
