Scholarship Auction Board

I made this for an auction to benefit the California Land Surveyors
Association Education Foundation. The auction is going to be held in
San Deigo at the end of March. It is a compsa[img_assist|nid=1030218|title=9'2" Compsand Deck|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=28|height=100]n[img_assist|nid=1030219|title=9'2" Compsand Rocker|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=7|height=100]d m[img_assist|nid=1030220|title=9'2" Compsand Bottom|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=29|height=100]ade with #2 eps,

WOW!

that’s awesome man! great work

Vern, let’s talk about your nose and tail rails…I see you don’t use blocks…

Afoaf,

The rails are1/8" redwood and balsa layers. The layers were bent around the nose (very time consuming). I used the 5 minute epoxy and tape method, one layer at a time. The redwood tapers out in the tail because of the difficulty with the final curve in the tail. The tail finishes out with a block of redwood. I add some close-ups of the nose and tail when I can.
