Jim Turnbull made very good boards for Country surfboards until he passed away. I know he was working with Ed Searfoss on the Country Surfboards in the late '80s through the ‘90s. My brother got a really nice 10’ JT Country Surfboard from Ed in the early 90’s. Some of my friends had JT’s Country Surfboard longboards during that time. Every now and then they show up on Craigslist.
I’m not sure about the Brewer connection, but Turnbull shaped good boards.
