I got my bar in the mail. Getting ready to break the plastic seal...roll a fat one...and watch 5 Summer Stories. There is a 68 Volks camper for sale calling my name. Anybody got a set of Aloha racks?

The Old waxmate factory is now the home of Surfy Surfy in Leucadia. I'm pretty sure that Mike Doyle owner wax mate at some point.
I had a roommate That would save old wax and melt it down to make new cakes of wax. He would have the whole house smelling like coconut or whatever. Pots and Pans would be covered in wax. In those days the smell of pot smoke and surf wax with hints of resin and foam dust permeated the air around Leucadia.
The owners were Doyle and Garth Murphy, as I recall.

I think Rusty Miller had a piece of it too.
Saw a good looking board Kurt Ausburger shaped for Newport legend Jack Briggs last summer at Trestles. Jack still knows how to lay down some nice lines at big and crowded Lowers, and he’s got to be close to 60. One of the nicest guys ever too, and the best salesman Russell ever had.
