Kirk, I’ve been talking to G. Liddle and he gave me your name with regard to sub 7’ hulls. I’ve got a 7’4" 'tweener I’m using at the Sunset Cliffs area of San Diego. While I dont’t have it completely wired yet, I’m starting to feel that I went 6" or more too long. I’m looking for a little smaller turn radius. I used to ride a 6’0" flex tail hull back in the seventies and it worked great. Any comments? Also, I had a Marc Andreini work for me in the mid 80’s. He was from the SLO area, went to Cal Poly and was a geotechnical engineer…any chance this is the same guy as the shaper at Owl Surfboards? Anyone else out there care to comment? Thanks Newbs
Hey Im here,Marc still in SLO and still shaping and is the shaper of the Owl boards at the beachouse. I am talking to Greg about smaller boards right now .I still have my 6’10’Bowler flextail from 75. Also have some 7’ and sub 7’s from different era’s. Were trying to come up with what your looking for for some of the younger guys that are interested in Hulls. My email is ,let me know what you think you might want.PS there is a crew in Oxnard of 2nd generation Liddle guys that are pushing some smaller Hulls to new areas.6’6’’ to 6’10’s.Aloha Kirk
