Shaped 1# EPS blank weight

Does anyone know the weight of a shaped 1# EPS blank before glass? Any board in the 6’0" range, thruster or fish, would be helpful. Thanks

You should be able to get pretty close if you have your shape in AKU or BoardCAD use the volume and convert to Cu/Ft.

Rough guesstimate, 1.2 to 1.5 Lbs. My 10’7" x 23" x 4" Longboard  #1 blank came in at a hefty 4.2 Lbs.

Shortboards are about 1 cubic foot ..... about.  So 1# shaped comes out 1#.

Thanks. I didn’t realize the density was the weight per cubit foot.

I used to weigh my blanks to figure out the volume .... pretty damn accurate.

i just finished shaping a 6’0  1# with paulownia rails for a compsand.

the weight of the blank with rails and fin inserts is 350grams.
