Aloha everyone,
I started shaping and glassing boards in the early 70’s but stopped in the the 80’s and stopped surfing too. I have returned to surfing in 2006 and have been reborn again. Why did I ever stopped? Because I’m middle aged and gained about 50 lbs I’ve been longboarding and do surboard repairs since its a lot cheaper than buying new boards. Recently I saw a beat up 7’6" Eaton Zinger Bonzer (twin fin Bonzer) on line. It brought back memmories of the orignal trifin Bonzer that came out in the early 70’s, a board that I never shaped. I bought the board to use as a model to copy it for a 9’ Zinger. I thought I ask on how this board surfs since I never heard of a Zinger until I saw this board used boad on line. I’ve been surfing twin fin (5.5" to 6" heights) on my longboards to help loosen up the turns, so the Zinger should be more to my liking the the original trifin. Let me know how the Zinger performs if you have surfed on one.
Mahalo!
