Aloha all,
Havn’t been here for a few years now … lost all my points so can’t even reply once in a while.
Was burried in production for some time so never had the time to check out sways.
I guess this phase happened to all of you that got into proffessional board making.
anyway … I miss you guys and want to get back
So ,
today’s question is about adding concaves , specificaly longboard teardrop concaves in aku shaper.
While hand shaping , the stringer is always the refference starting point , than shaping in the concaves and VEE’s.
In the 3d softwares , it seems that they determine the rocker and foil and then lower the rail by altering the cross sections to get concaves.
I played with it for some time and never got the results I was looking for.
I’m making my own EPS blanks from scrach.
Design them in Solidworks and have them hotwired by CNC.
I would like to start machining some of my stock models but just can’t get that shaping sofware logic.
any help here?
Thanks,
Lee
