shaping in a bunnings plastic gazebo.

I have been looking through all the threads trying to find pics or threads with people shaping in those portable gazebo’s with walls, they are made from plastic im pretty sure…

The reason im interested is,i have recently moved house and dont really have anywhere that i can shape without making too much mess,so i figured i would look into buying one of these gazebo things and setting up in that inside my garage so i can contain all my mess as my garage is not fully seled and foam dust would go all through my gardens.

So if anyone has a pic or something they could share it would be greatly apreciated! cheers.

I show what I’m using here:

I don’t know what they have at Bunnings but I got mine at the big chain sporting goods store over here.

It works pretty well. I have the vaccuum hookup for my planer and that really helps keep the dust down too.

You have to deal with dust and light.

Dust, vac on a planer works fine, but hand sanding, dust is still around.

Light.   I always shaped with overheads, but most shapers like 2 sidelights.

I just hung tarps off the ceiling joists in the garage, pinned to the cement floor with 2x4's.

I just shaped my first board in this with a polysheet floor:

trying to suck up the dust and not the poly an/or ground was a pain though

just as long as you are shaping I reckon…my first few were on Mums kitchen table chairs in the back yard with some of her kitchen knives, some sandpaper and a saw…those were the days…
