Just about finished setting up a new workshop and am about to put lights in. Last time I had my lights set even with the top of my racks which means a few inches below the surface of the blank. Made for nice, well cast shadows along the rail line but a bit dim on the deck. How high do the you have your lights set?

Sorry about th blank post.I use to have mine around 12 inches above the top of the blank.A lot of guys put them lower but my stands were adjustable.Lot’s of info in the Archives on this subject. RB
Thanks for the advice RB. I’ll keep scouring the archives. My stands aren’t adjustable and are just right but since I’m in the building phase it would be easy enough to build the light height adjustable and play around with it.
