do you have to bend the eps into the rocker you want or can you just make a thick enough stack of it all glued together, and just carve the rocker in so instead of bending just removing excess foam to create you rocker can you do this?
Either way will work, but you’ll get loads of foam beads the second way.
or you can cut the rocker into your stringer. its much like the second option. but i think its a little more accurate. with the excess foam in the nose and tail i used a hand saw to cut off the big chunks
with using the eps if i do choose to cut the rocker into the stringer after im done how do i put the stringer in between the layers of eps without it moving at all? do i like shave a groove in the two halves thats just barely big enough for the stringer fill it with tons of glue and clamp the entire length of the board together so the glue dries? would that work or is there a better way?
you got to tape it together. we used some roofing shingles to add some weight to keep it steady. but you could use anything. we also used a combo of elmers and liquid nails to glue it down.
i imagine you could cut a whole in one side of your foam, but i just put it in there and tape it up real good. also let it sit for longer then you think it needs to.
