Shed building plans for 9 x 13-ft

Howzit Huck, Read an article in the paper the other day about those south of the border guys that would normally stand in front of Home depot waiting for contractors to hire them but in Phoenix they all dissappeared after that new law was enacted, they are in hiding now. Aloha,Kokua

I'm your friend , I'm joking around. I work out of a two car garage....Guess I'm spoiled.......no worries.....

.......seal up the old door...make a new door so it's a straight shot from the parking lot to the shaping rack......

My setup is less than perfect...it's all for fun!

hahaha - thank you oh wise man of the mountain!  Actually, the problem has been going on for over 200 years, and has nothing to do really with the current economic meltdown, other than it has accelerated the decline in appreciation for real craftsmanship.  Google "industrial revolution", "William Morris", "John Ruskin", "Greene and Greene".  BTW, I said "unwelcome gift", different from "unwanted gift", pay attention! =)

Related is the fact that the new generation has grown up in an electronic age, more "plugged in" than "hands on".  Different world when I was a kid, we didn't have x-box, game boy, i-phone, etc.  We built kites, model planes, tricked out our bicycles, etc etc I could go on, I think its a shame the stuff kids today miss out on and don't even know what they're missing.

Heck, lotta schools don't even teach woodshop, industrial arts, etc.  We built fiberglass model sailboats in my high school shop class, it was way cool!  Honestly, a lot of people today don't know what craftsmanship is, or the difference between a handcrafted piece of genuine furniture and a computer-made piece of IKEA crap.  I used to work in a furniture store, and people would ask me, Does this wood need any special oils or treatments - and they were talking about a freakin' picture of wood pasted onto some recycled termite poop!!!  Sad.

Hey Ray, no worries mate, I'm glad you brought it up, door size and placement is critical, esp. in a small shop.  Like I said, I didn't know I'd be building boards in here when I built it, but it has worked out pretty well anyways.  I guess because I knew I'd be building something, just didn't know what!  Mine is a straight shot - to the back door, though the house, and out to the parking lot LOL!  My wife is very easy going, good thing for me!

Sounds like a scene from Jim Carey's "Fun With Dick and Jane"!!

Hi Huck, Sorry i miss read your post or miss spelt the reply, kind of funny how it turned out though! The drop in standards also relates to peoples greed over the years. Don't spend too log on the job just get out and get paid, not worried about the finish at all. One of the problems of course is nobody can afford a perfect precision job and due to a lack of understanding of Craftsmanship they wouldn't know one anyway! True Craftsmanship is accomplished by Skill and Patience as you know and is not needed in the so called modern world of C,N,C , Electric tools that any Tom,Dick or Harry can buy in Home base that might last the job if you're lucky, etc, etc, etc I could go on and on and on and on.

Basically i totally agree with you but feel a lot better after a whinge. Good job I'm not bitter and twisted hey?

Actually, I was just razzin' ya, but I meant, unwelcome is worse then unwanted LOL!!  Man, we need to sit down over a cold brew!  Meanwhile, have one for me!

Yeah I could do with  blowing the froth off a few myself , but haven't got a pot to piss in at the minute. Thinking about becoming a Gigolo to pay the bills. Priced loads of jobs up but haven't heard much yet.
