So I was doing a opaque lam and when I taped off the bottom to do the deck I didn’t wait long enough and there are lines on the lam from the tape. Can I just mix up som lam resin with the opaque in it and squeegie it on to the lam real thin to cover the marks? Do i have to do a inlay with another piece of glass? thanks guys besides the lines the lam came out nice.
I would just give it a pass with a clean..lint free rag and some clean acetone. Just one pass (if you keep going back and forth you'll start removing color and maybe make it worse)..make sure the rag is wet with acetone. If your using the cheaper tape it usually leaves a bit of residue from the glue. The better 3M tape doesn't leave as much if any. Keep moving to new parts of the rag..and re-dipping in clean acetone. When you hotcoat should disappear.
Thanks lokbox on my way to check it out this morning I am scared it might be a little extra resin that was in the lam but I was looking at it upside down. This might be my first first board done in lock box if my jig gets here today.
Oh right on! If you need any help just shoot me a pm. Thanks Jim
