@hans: It’s the first attempt, so don’t be so strict
Foiling such a wide base from a full block of wood is not so easy and i realy undersetimated it…
I’m just hoping that the characteristic of the fin is more made in the tip.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not an expert in foiling (the act of sanding the foil).
But you did such a good job for the tip, that I’m quite surprised that the base is left flat.
I’d suggest to foil more into the fintab and then cast the tab to be square.
Keep up the good work!
I’m not so happy 100 % with the finbase-profile, too.
So I’m thinking about building the next fin in 2 steps:
first, foiling the fin itself, then casting the finbase around the fin.
I think, that will be much easier to get a more profiled fin.
This fin is finished now, and is waiting to get into th water…
