My quiver is all 7’6’''s at the moment. Saw your board on facebook dave, i dig it, i like the simple look of the cork
that is a hell of a hull!!
Definitely drooling over a midlength Coil…
wow, theres not too many around huh?..
This is a 7’0" Mike Daniels shaped me, I’ve had others but this has been my favorite to date (thanks Mike). It paddles well and is a wave catching machine, yet I can still duckdive the board, which is very important to me living in the land of windswell beach break. I’ve tried larger middle lengths but find them cumbresome, they don’t have the paddle speed to get outside or get into waves as easy as a Longboard.
Now if I could just get a Mike and Coil to offer a LB my quiver Coils would be complete.
That 7’2" Dynocore looks awesome.
I love midlengths!! Will post pics later after a post night shift nap
7’ 4" square tail thruster
this is my " longboard "
7-8 thruster
You might recognise this one dave!
The above 7'10'' was a great board. It went great as a single, a 2+1, and as a thruster was much more loose than i thought a big board could be. The outline was almost nugget like, and it surfed great from the back foot. But, with the right fin/s i could trim from up front beautifully. WIsh i didn't have to sell it but its gone now.
Would love another one similar one day.
My next board will be pretty similar to this, just into the 7' range, maybe 7'2'', or 7'4'', as a longboarder/fish/midlength riders shortboard. And NO it will not be a surftech haha, i just love this outline!.
Might as well keep the **Divers-**ification going in this thread.
After seeing Dave’s corktop I had to have another mid-length.
With a design brief that reads, great paddler and built for point waves, you’ve got my attention every time.
Got the board just in time for one of the biggest swells we’ve had in a long time.
First surf was out in solid, crosshore, Tea tree at Noosa in the morning.
Swell was still on the rise and went back to find my local point dead offshore and pumping (bouys hitting 5 metres).
Got some absolute screamers and my last wave was the biggest and the board was a joy to ride.
I was running a 6.5" centre fin pushed right back in the box and fcs bonzer sides.
Now have an 8" Greenough 4C in it to see how that goes.
Dims are 7’6" X 22" X 3".

Deck shot…
won’t show up weird…
Try this shot next to a 6’2" corktop broad bean.

Pete, any chance of a planshape shot?. Sounds like it handled some decent surf very well!!
I really love rounded pins on longer boards. Not sure why, just smooth flowing solid feeling turns.
here’s one I made years ago but never got any good pics of it
7’7"
