Ive been searching for weeks to find all the single piece Spring Steel trucks I made in 2009 but I must’ve lost them in the last house move. The plan was to use the memory in the steel instead of the standard rubbers and the only other part was the axle.  The benefits were that they never wore out rubbers or ground away at the Aluminium components, the design created a suspension effect so the ride was smoother and being a single piece, there was nothing to pull apart and was simple to clean.

however I still have my favourite “last mile” ride for getting back from work these days…

Its a Stowboard from the U.S. Very smooth and I love the innovative design. Not a ripper but its a pleasure to glide along on soft rubber large diameter tyres.

  trippy ! looks fun !!!

Just a pic or two about the spring steel trucks I made but can’t find in the garage…

There is a 3mm plate (grey) of SS, one end bolted to the underside of the board with the other end rolled around the axle. It’s facing ‘out’ rather than in, because axles need to converge on the inside of a turn.

The only other part was a bridge (red) to support the SS plate. No rubbers, no kingpin, no wear.

I changed the design lots of times and it worked fine without the bridge but with the bridge felt more secure.

me,just havin’ wheeeelie fun !!!
