I could’nt find the old woody thread, so I’ll join in here, thanks Kayu - continuing the fine tradition…
Glad you did… Love your work!
That thing is truely amazing!!! Reynolds doesnt talk much, but his work speaks for itself…
Yeah that Yater is beautiful - and only 17 lbs. for a 9-4 redwood chambered board? Wow.
What is up with that Wood Surfboard Supply board to the left of the Yater - I keep looking at it trying to figure it out, looks like its twisted like an airplane propellor!
huck… my thoughts as well!! Is that even surfable? lol
beautiful boards everyone!
I shall add my first one to the mix…
Minnow (From Richs template shop over at T2S)
5’ 4-3/8" x 20-1/4" x 2-1/2"…28.87 Liters of volume.
Loved how it rode!
Beautiful boards above.
Here are my HWS mini guns. The singlefin is 7’6" x18 5/8 x 2 3/4" just over 12 lbs.
The one with a leash string hanging is my personal board and hope to get it wet again this winter 7’7" x19 3/4 x 2 15/16" 12.5 lbs
Isn’t it great…???..The wood board renaissance in the past ten years…???..
Who could’ve imagined…???..
It’s guys like you Paul who have given many the inspiration to go the wood route.
Myself included…
Thank you!
(above) Alex from Portland came up for a one-on-one workshop…Three days from starting he’s ready to shape the rails on his 7’3" egg…
Made this hollow balsa from pieces of balsa model makers use. I bought a bunch from a widow of a remote control model airplane builder.
(above) Alex with his shaped 7’3" x 22.75"…
awesome board. love every aspect!
Kayu love the wood boards you make. Saw some on McCoy’s site and he mentions you in a video he has. You’re an inspiration.
