It’s a 6’3" with belly in the nose then single spiral vee. so far it’s worked best with a 9.5" GL Flex fin. it’s heavy and trims and glides nicely.
The one below I took from Gene Cooper’s site. It’s his Speed Hull desgin. I’mm really digging the idea of mid-length single fins that both trim and turn off the tail. They can be ridden in a huge range of wave sizes. Where I live it’s mostly point breaks so these boards work really well here.
Man there are so many choices. I also really dig the 6’0" that Michael Peterson is riding in section 15 of Morning of the Earth. It’s got a wide squash tail and farily parralel outline with a pointed nose. Too many. Then there’s the knifey logs, etc. etc.
The smaller of the Channin’s looks pretty amazing. Here’s a couple from Mick Mackie’s current quiver[img_assist|nid=1058032|title=mackiesingle|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=640|height=480]
Here is a the only single I have. A Joe Quigg template, and Gordon stuck on some Joe Quigg laminates to give it that old look. Rides like a dream, especially on Point Breaks.
