single-step painting/sealing for epoxy?

I looked through the archives, but I can’t find this question specifically addressed.

I have a shaped clark blank I am going to glass with RR epoxy. I want to spray it white before glassing. If I use a rattlecan of white latex, will that accomplish the task of sealing the blank for me as well as coloring it? Or am I setting myself up for dispair by putting a layer of paint between my blank and my epoxy? Is there a better way?

a Clark blank does not have to be sealed before glassing with epoxy… If you are just wanting to paint it white go for it…I would spray it with a spray gun if you can… you might want add a slight bit of blue to the white paint to help it from eventually yellowing…

I’ve sprayed white on my EPS blanks and the paint is never as white and the blank. I’ll bet Clark is the same. Herb Spitzer says his Clark blanks stay whiter by spraying Futures before the glass.
