Yo Deadshaper,
Can you drop a short rant on how you’ve observed foils improving on sailboards and possibly other surfcraft.
What was the evolution like.
The more fins I foil the more I realize how subtle the foiling art really is.

I really like the hammer fins right now. Just got back from another surf and I’m still amazed at how much drive I get. I can cover a lot of distance with this board and I can also really lay out a hard top turn. There seems to be quite a bit of control with my foot right over the fins and lots of drive if I am a bit forward. Stand back and make tight arcs, stay a bit forward and it will go 10+ yards like a rocket.
The tops turns are solid gouges and there’s no spinning. I can throw a lot of spray with these fins. If I just lean back standing tall I can still get the board to go where I want to go. The only place it felt it a little weird was when I was in the soup riding in. Seems like it prefers being on edge more than flat.
I don’t know how much of the riding is the board, but the board has a fairly flat bottom with tucked under rails from about 18" back of the nose and just a bit of vee out the tail.
