Six Ounce Boardstore

I was in this shop at Bondi Beach Sydney the other day.

Their statement " very f#cking finely crafted surfboards " is not just hype.

It’s true.

They had a bit of everything except potato chips.

it would be interesting to walk into an Australian surf shop , and see this for sale .

…I wonder how much they sell it for ?

(cheers for the link , Hoggy !)

p.s. - I also wonder , while they are on the “retro groove” thing , if they would ever make a spoon kneeboard , too ??

I reckon if there was a market for spoons, Ben would stock them… i guess the first step to knowing is trying it out

If you are interested in spoons you should talk to Neil Cameron in Sydney, a few months ago he dropped around to my house with an exact replica of the spoon George used in Crystal Voyager. Absolutely beautiful showed it to G.G. who approved it and mentioned it may need a couple of extra layers of glass to limit the flex. Ever tried riding one?

Hey Chip.

I’m not sure if it’s the same one but I saw a Bonzer3 in the shop made by Michael Mackie (Early 90’s Pro surfer from Cronulla). It was a beautiful thing but I had my baby in my arms so I couldn’t pick it up for a closer look.

You’d love this shop mate. It’s small but packed with gems.

One of his fish , ridden by Garth Dickenson , was featured in “Glass Love”…
