Most of the shapes are inspired from my personal prototypes I built.Some are from other pros Like Massey or others.The original two/four which he doesn’t sell anymore come directly from my templates.
Davo, the owner is a great person and a very accomplished surfer/skater himself and was very compelled to start Skaterbuilt.I just helped him out to get him going.He’s now one of the biggest and best champion skateboard/products on the market today.
Massey got one of my Super Tacos and loves it !

back in the beginning of this site,I have a pic of myself at that same pool on a Sims Taperkick,doing a micro-edger but it was rejected due to it not being surf related.This was before MP had a Skater section.No hard feelings.I usually run the edge and receive lots of rejections from all walks of life.The accepted ones make-up for that.
I take rejection well,you have to if you have ever been in the acting/hollywood industries.
Geeezzz…I have shots of me getting air almost two years before the shot of Alva in Skateboarder…lol… first airs my ass…lol.

I’m interested in this pic, what’s the section in the middle for and what’s with the little round thingy.
I’ve done the same thing to my latest board to give more strength to the centre section…
The board was basically solid fiberglass and polyester resin,molded.The center beam was cored with either honeycomb high density foam or balsa.The early versions were the only ones with balsa,like the board pictured.I owned several Jay Adams model boards in just about every color they had including the team blacks or whites.The red one pictured is one of the first production boards.
The beam was for elevation so you didn’t need as much in risers,and the white dot as it appears is an eyeball that I painted on the board.In dogtown it was said you needed eyes in the back of your head,In compton you needed them everywhere.
Jay,Shogo and the other Dogtown boyz were always cool to me,and in that respect I give to them “my hats off”.It was a magic time.I didn’t own a car,but always seemed to get great skate sessions in.In some of the world’s most famous pools,parks,and pipes.The Oxnard Verti-pipe was my fav…I was King,uncontested in that steep pipe,.Just ask Shogo…he saw my first day there,and it only got better from then on.

All the pics posted anywhere are s#%t compared to most of what I have.Mike Rooster has a tape of mine and it shows pics on the wall of my shop…some very interesting shots indeed !

My wife is located my one disc in all her 500 discs,so as soon as I get it I’ll try and find time…and patiences to post them.Maybe someday I’ll get a pic on my ICON…lol.
Threre’s a local DVD with some footage of me over the last 10 years .I talked to Mike Belchin owner of the River’s End Resturant and the northcoast O.C.president of the Surfrider’s org. in Seal Beach He’d ask if I had seen the DVD and there was some great footage of me at the pier and River,tubes and stuff…I guess I’m always the last to know,or see it…I’m hunting that one down w/ extreme prejustice.
I, for one , want to see ALL this stuff herb !

well, if you read the M.P. book [michael peterson’s biography] , and “busting down the door” [rabbit bartholomew’s autobiography] , HE [drouyn] gets SOME credit due him .
Midget still commands respect and quietly goes about his business …
the cream always rises to the top…and , like Wayne Lynch after him , not everyone wants to be in the spotlight . [I imagine the expectation/s on “celebrities” must be huge …???]
