Skil 100 switch craped out. Where is a good place to order em? Aftermarket part #? I know someone posted a pretty good part resource list I can not find it.
Skil Switches…try Ben Almazan at Sherman Tool Repair: service@shermantoolrepair.com
Try Tool Mart in Escondido they seem to have them still most of the time.
the switches are out of the box matches for Black and Decker sanders, etc.
The company who made the original switches continued with them until about 5 years ago. Some repair/parts places may still have some in inventory, Tool Depot is the best bet in SD. The replacement I use now (until that company goes away also) has the same trigger pressure, but is tricky to install since it doesn’t have any screw terminals, and it’s easy to get the wires to short against the metal handle. Milwaukee and some other sander switches will fit, but you’ll find that the trigger pressure is too high and the hand gets cramped after a while. That’s why sanders have a trigger lock button. If you still can’t find one, please PM me and I’ll install the one I use for you.
