Snow on the southern Texas coast.....................

A few days ago on the weather channel, I saw valid snow on the beaches of the Texas coastline…Climate changes?

Herb,

Can you say, GLOBAL COOLING?

It’s The Day After Tomorrow scenario. No, actually it was some shots of Christmas Day last year – ten inches of snow from the night before. This year it was all tank tops and Bermuda shorts on Christmas Day.

2004 - It started snowing about 9 or 10 pm christmas eve. It made the first white christmas in recorded history.

Most everywhere got 6 to 8 inches, but surfside beach got 12 inches of snow.

My house 4 miles from the beach about 10 am christmas morning after the snow had already started melting.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Was it snow with warm water?

Interesting. Good pic.

I guess I failed to hear what year it was…it appeared that it was more recent than last year…or so The Weather channel made it seem.Still, kind of freaky to see snow on the gulf shores of any recent years.

…Ozzy, nice pics, something to show people for generations to come.

…okay, how about the tundra melting away (in rapid, large amounts) in Alaska?

…ps…Bill T.,Going to be in your neck of the woods here after the first…visiting JP and others, let’s get together…my mom’s spirit won’t let me rest till then .

I think warm is relative. It’s purty chilly to us. I think the water was in the low 50s then, but during the summer flat season it runs in the upper 80s to the ocassional low 90s. Burrr.

Herb, I don’t live in Alaska, but I’ll check my private satellite photo database.
