so what is the future of professional sports …the bookmaking lobby in the money hotel aranges for diverted funds to leave quietly by the back door…say what are the odds in an australian betting parlor on a given surf contest? is it true are there gamblers exchanging money on this here surfing just like horse racing and baseball,football[of all kinds],Jai lai tennis and all professional sports?Does this errode the ‘olympic Ideal" if it ever existed in surfing…this introduction of "professionalism’’ is an interesting ongoing process…was the spearheading of " professionalism’s" introduction on behalf of the gambling intrests as well as the surfers? does the association have benifits like Medical and dental? and cheap rates on cars for rent?what is the average book made on a Surfie gathering…how much side money is there on the world cup of surfing? surely the world cup of soccer flows the large money… If it was a horse we would take it for granted but to consider it a veneer on our 'Surfing" is to see the red dress on a church lady on saturday night with that wild look in the eye tempered with greed and lust,lust is a given ,greed is a lesion…ambrose… gambling + sports=??? the comissioner of baseball excommunicated pete rose…for gambling…our boys wouldnt gamble …would they?
