San Diego or near EPS foam wranglers. Where are the good deals on that PVC Foam (Komatex) sheets used for making stringers… I just bought a 48"x96"x.125" sheet of PVC Komatex in tan ($61.00) it was almost as expensive as the #2 EPS 13"x96x24" block of foam StingRay just bought. Making your own blanks is not all the cheap…so far…
San Diego Plastics has 1/8" for $30.00 a sheet, but a $75.00 minimum order. I just noticed on their web that some colors are being discontinued by the factory. Maybe some good deals to be had when and if they clearance some of the colors…

your block of EPS should yield 3 maybe 4 blanks and your stringer sheet should yield 12-16 stringers.
So material wise your between $30-40/blank even if you throw away your extra stringer material.
The eps blank cost is all in the labor/time, and that part adds up quickly.
meecrafty… you live Florida but get your stuff in San Diego. That’s one heck of a drive. just kidding ya, I see that they have loctions in Florida too. Thanks. I will give them a call.
Eddie from Island Influence said the same thing about the PVC foam stringer planing like butter.
I got the Komatex at Rideout Plastics. When I called them on the phone they said it was some thing like $34. but when I got there I found out that that was the price for the Komatex in white… The aqua color would have been cool looking but I settled on the tan at $61. I think the aqua was a little bit more $ than the tan color…
In the same buisness complex is FoamCo (FoamCoUSA.com) they had some EPS blanks for sale. I was not impressed with what they had but he said he can custom make anything you want in EPS in 1,2, 2.5 or 3 lbs. $$$$$$$
This is getting pricey not to mention the all gas spent getting eveything together just to make a blank… we definitely had it way to easy with Clark…
I stopped in at Mitch’s North today and they didn’t know when they will have foam… said “maybe 2 or 3 months we don’t know”
