Some compsands for Costa

Rushing to get some boards done before Costa I just about made it. Kinda “moving” down there next week, and wanted to do some testing.

All four finers…a 5’10" Rich pavel inspired quad with turbo speed dialer fins, beak nose and double bump, about 21" wide forward vee, double to single (afterburner effect pavel describes in his interview).

An older school 6’10" about 19 3/8" wide moved up about 4-5 inches of center, semi gun, complete with beak nose more down rails, forward vee, double to songle concave with a quad setup.

And a 5’8" Stretch inspired bat tail quad, 19 1/2" wide, flat to single concave to slight vee.

Please let me know what you think of these boards, they are my own templates with nose and tail measurments taken from other shapers designs…thank you very much to all swaylockians, and the master shapers that have inspired me to replicate their design.

Note* vents and leash plugs were installed after pictures…the 6’10" and 5’10" werent yet sanded either they were still curing.

A detail picture of the nose…1/8" balsa and cork with “Black Limba” veneer on the board…The veneer was actually pretty hard and doesnt seem more prone to pressure dings at all.

The bumps on the 5’10"…

Here is everything that is going down with me…I shipped a box of 5 boards out yesterday (and most of my tools), hopefully I will see them in two weeks???

From L to R… 7’6" Andreini hull, the 6’10", a 6’6" semi gun for Salsa, a 6’2" Ricky carroll, 6’3" walden Compact Disc, 6’1" Scott Anderson Evolver, 5’10", and 5’8".

If you come to the dominical area in Costa rica anytime find me…names elliot, and you can try (almost) any of these boards if you want…especially the compsands. Hopefully I will be making some more down there as soon as I find some shop space and suppliers.

Nice boards and a really good quiver of your own and ‘professional’ shapes.

Dominical is fun and not too far from Pavones. I’m sure you’re stoked.

Thanks for the comment…the point in dominical and pavones (both lefts) are the main reasons that Im staying in that area, so yeah you got it Im super stoked! Thanks again.

The bookend matched veneer looks really nice. Have fun down there.
