somebody know this planer?

Hy,

I’m an italian shaper ( I’m sorry for my bad language) and I need your help and your experience about planers…

I usually use an Hitachi P20SA2 for shaping and I love it but I would an F30.

But few week ago I bought another used (but almost new) planer for very few money: an Hitachi P20SD.

I’m looking for news and istructions of this but without results.

Now, can I modify this planer like an F30?

Somebody of you know this planer?

I don’t find any informations about it…

Thank you very much for your time.

Looks like the same set-up as our Hitachi’s

pretty sure thats just the Higher voltage UK/Europe Version of the f30a

…hello Aqua glassing, there s no such thing like a “high voltage” F30A different version/model. Most parts of the world use 220V and have the F30A not this model. I use one with 220V.

This is another model on its own and by the way looks even better than the other.

  • Why not surfboards: probably the same type of configuration in the depth mechanism but you should dismantle it to start…

Thank you very much people,

-Barry Snyder: Your link is very interesting, I saw the depht mechanism modification and handle replacement. Thanks

-Acqua Glassing: if I find an F30 110V may I work with transformator 220/110?

-Reverb: in your opinion, is better for shaping an F30 or this unknow P20SD?

I post another images of planer

…front shoe looks shorter (but may be is due to the design) than the F30A and that s a better thing. Seems that have a bit more power, but Im not an electrician so I do not know the relation between those 5.2A and the 1100w regarding the ones that the F30A have…

regarding the transformer; yes, you can use one that can hold MORE power than those 1100 watts.
