and dont put the leg tachment on your dog in the back of the truck/
If he jumps out many scenarios could result
including the board being dragged down the sidewalk into a dogfight.
…ambrose…
somethings that you shouldn’t do:
…Forget that the last time you neglected to strap down your board, it flew off of the highway never to be seen by human eyes again…
…Lend a board to a friend who never paddles out for the session, only to find that he is on the shore giggling with his girlfriend who happens to be using your new board as protection from the harsh rocky shore while she lays out. (This is the same friend who never has cash, wax, or food. We all have one of these friends, right?)…

PS whats wrong with strapping your board to your car while still in its bag? I am confident that I prevent the majority of minor dings this way.
Thats classic, never ever seen anyone strap down boards that way before. I bet they think they look well cool. Heres a few classics
Run up the beach and slame the tail of your board in to the sand to try and get it to stand up gidget style, only woe will follow. I saw a poster the other day (I think for McDonalds of all people) the boards stuck up right in the sand like that, made me laugth.
Drag the end of your leg strap behind you in the sand, less your “friend” thinks it would be funny to stand on it and pulls the board from your grip.
Trying to run down to the beach with out pulling in the slack of your leash and tripping up. see this one all the time.
Not attaching your leash to the board properly, thus rendering the rail saver useless. I’ve seen a guys leash cut straight in to his rail before.
seen the tripping sessions way to many times… in fact, i think i might have done that once (holding my head down in shame) but i was 12…
hey pete, i think that board bags are nice too; however, there is a lot of drag that they produce… i’ve seen boards launch like they were sponcered by NASA on the 528 heading out to the beach…
if i wanted to strap a board on top of a car with a bag i would want to not drive over 60 at most… but then again, i have a truck so i don’t need to worry about that
